I have decided to try my hand at stationary. This is a sampling of what I did for Valentine's Day. Sweet, simple, and to the point. And who doesn't love goats? I'll keep at it and keep you posted with where this new venture takes me.

A Woodland Retreat
Things are happening! Now that the walls are freshly painted, I am ready to decorate. I started out by going to all the local flea markets and thrift shops and the theme just took shape. Behold, our baby's woodland retreat. All I need now is this teepee and the crib (kind of important). Hope he likes it!

Found // Great.ly
So excited about this new find - the genius website Great.ly. A place for art and style lovers, curators, and makers. I just signed up, so right now I am a lover, or as they call it... a shopper. The curators are the tastemakers, creating little gallery-like shops displaying their beautifully-gathered items. The inspiring makers are...ummm I think you get that.
Since we are mid-reno in our house (getting ready for the baby!), I have decor on the brain. These art prints would for sure bring some life to my blank walls. Throw in a decorative pillow and of course a little treat in a leather satchel, and I am one happy girl!

4. Pineapple photographic art print
5. Waverly linen pillow sham

Big News
Got this fun photo idea from Amanda Jane Jones Blog
We are expecting!!! We made it out of the lovely (with the hint of sarcasm) 1st trimester and can now share the big news! Hurray!
We find out boy or girl in mid-June and will keep everyone posted along the way! I know you can barely see my bump now, but I've been working hard on it and can't wait for it to get bigger. Here's to the next photo update looking more than if I just ate a big burrito.
Excited to share this new adventure with everyone. This is going to be fun!

Home Update // The Sofa
Find all of these images here
Another big purchase down on the seemingly never-ending home project. This lovely sofa from West Elm will accompany our custom beer barrel table and still in progress DIY dining chairs. We can't wait until it arrives 8-10 weeks from now and when it does, hopefully we will be well on our way in getting these amazing items to accent the sofa centerpiece.
I am dreaming of black and white in pillows and rugs, cognac leather chairs, vintage landscape paintings, and hits of natural wood and gold. I'm pretty sure these things will make our new couch (and us) feel right at home.

Memphis Continued...
Overlooking downtown
Bison Mural downtown Memphis
Looking up to the spot where MLK was assassinated
Beale Street
I loved walking around Memphis with no particular place to go. That's how I found the wonderful bison mural above. Such lovely surprises that brightened the cloudy days. Along with Graceland, we hit up Sun Studio. Felt so surreal to be standing where one of my fave artists, Johnny Cash, once recorded. Of the many museums we visited, the must-see one for me was the Civil Rights Museum. It was so incredibly moving. All and all, a stellar trip. Message me if you are planning to go and want more recommendations! I am full of them!

Memphis // Graceland
Remember when I said I was planning a trip to Nashville? Well, if you
follow me on Instagram, you know that I not only went to the Music City,
but I made it to Memphis as well! I'm not a big touristy traveler, I
like to hit all the spots recommended by locals and get a taste for what
it would be like to live there. Well, I made a few exceptions in
Memphis that were well worth it. Case in point: Elvis Presley's
Graceland. I loved stepping into his home and getting a feel for what
the superstar was really like behind closed doors. One thing I learned
was that he loved to decorate with the latest trends. Check out the
"state of the art" kitchen. Fit for a King.
