As much as I love to dress up and change it up, lately every weekend consists of the same look. All I want to do is hang out at the farm with my hubby and pretend to do work wearing this outfit. Now it's Monday and I'm kinda bummed. It will be Saturday soon enough overalls, soon enough.

Fall Hike
Fur Vest - Thrifted (Came inside a denim jacket!) / Madewell bell bottoms - Thrifted / Sweater - J. Crew (Stolen from my husband) / Vintage Air Force Sunnies - Thrifted
This weekend my hubby and I took our lab Charlie for a leisurely hike and decided to stop for an impromptu photo shoot. Nothing more comfy for a Fall walk than a fur vest and your husband's wool sweater. Loving this weather!

Neighborhood Safari
Safari Belted Vest - Thrifted Cynthia Rowley / Cuffed Shorts - H&M (old) / Jewelry - Thrifted
To go along with the blog reboot, I thought a new camera was in order. To make it's big debut, I decided to go on a neighborhood safari. Driving around old neighborhoods searching for prime spots for a photo sesh was a perfect afternoon nature adventure.

My Overalls
Overalls - River Island / Embroidered Top - Thrifted / Shoes - Vintage Cole Haan / Jewelry - Thrifted / Sunnies - Vintage Air Force from SF Vintage Expo
Working with a film camera has definitely taught me patience and appreciation. You never know what you're going to get and you have to wait until you fill the whole roll! In my busy schedule with few chances to have a little photo sesh with the hubby, I have yet to fill my most recent one. Somewhere in there, waiting to be exposed, are some shots of me in my River Island denim bibs.
My patience ran out. I decided to post these digital diddies. I'm in love with these overalls and I just needed to show it. I figure, hey, if the other ones turn out, I can post them later as a little refresher. You won't mind, right?

STYLED! // Theresa Part Deux
Recognize this foxy lady? Yep, it's my dear sister, Theresa's, second round of STYLED!. This time she dons her adorable pair of printed floral pants. Doesn't their pop of red compliment her fiery highlights? I decided the look should be crisp and clean, but still cool. Enter..the sleeveless blouse and black and metallic bead necklace. Add a pair of cut-out leather wedges and she's set!

Denim Love // The Prequel
Denim Jacket - Thrifted (similar here) / Chambray Button-Up - Thrifted / Jeans - Levis / Shoes - Thrifted (similar here) / Necklace - All Saints (old)
Remember my last Styled post where I mentioned my love for denim? My love that has apparently taken over me so much my husband started calling me "Denim Dan"? Well, this outfit started it all. Denim on Denim on Denim. I just can't get enough. And my nickname is kind of growing on me...

STYLED! // Courtney
Introducing...Courtney! My leading lady in my second STYLED! sesh. I wish I could take credit for helping with her casual chic look, but this is all her. Oh and her her mom. Courtney has a vintage fashion arsenal kept ready for her picking in her Mom's closet. The necklace, belt, and shoes were successfully borrowed and rocked in an outfit. Lucky girl!
Oh, and lesson for me...check the settings on your camera when using a different speed film! The joys of using a vintage film camera. Even though the pic quality isn't perfect, she still looks fab! Thanks C!

Denim Love
Shrunken Denim Jacket - Had since highschool! / Tank - Thrifted / Skirt - Thrifted / Shoes - Zara (similar here) / Jewelry - Thrifted
I've been wearing so much denim lately that my husband has started calling me "Denim Dan". So, my response to that not so flattering nickname is a feminine look complete with flowy skirt and heels, but still keeping my love of denim in the picture.
I'll post soon the look that inspired my hubby's name of choice for me. Oversized denim jacket on top of denim button-up, worn with my fave jeans? Oh, you betcha.

STYLED! // Theresa
I am so excited for this new segment! Inspired by my dear sister, I will now have STYLED! (the explanation point adds something, no?!) posts where I take friend's (and sibling's) favorite things in their closet and help them turn them into a look they love.
This first installment features these fantastic palazzo pants. My tip to my sis, Theresa, was to keep it simple in the top to focus the attention on her bottoms. Theresa had all the best pieces, including the bold carpet belt, which compliments the volume of the pants. I just added the tank from my closet, showing that it doesn't take much and this is totally something she can do!
I had so much fun doing this and look forward to making it a regular thing on city country. She looks lovely, don't you agree?

Rockin the Blazer
Blazer - Thrifted / Blouse - H&M (old) / Shorts - Urban Outfitters (old) / Shoes - Thrifted / Jewelry - Thrifted
Looking back, I've noticed that I've been pretty serious in all my styled segments. To be honest, I'm still adjusting to being in front of the camera. I admire my fave bloggers that show off their inspiring style everyday, so I am going to keep on truckin with these photo shoots and start getting a little silly.
This awesome vintage floral blazer I picked up for a whole 2 dolla, was the perfect piece to wear to shake it up and have a little fun.

Down at the Grain Mill
Pants - Thrifted / Dress (worn as a top) - Target (old) / Heels - Zara (similar here) / Jacket - Thrifted / Jewelry - Thrifted
Was feeling a change of location from my usual backyard photoshoots. You didn't see this, but one of my recent shoots, our horse Jackson wanted all the attention and kept getting in the shots.
I thought the local grain mill was the perfect industrial backdrop for my soft, pastel pants punched with a black tank and accessories.

Sporting My Finds
My awesome finds that I purchased at the Vintage Expo have made it into an outfit! I thought to myself...what goes with my new silky top? High-waisted bell bottoms and a sequin tie...of course.

Inspired: Silky pants & Boots
Inspiration image found via Pinterest from the The Gifts of Life
Pants - Thrifted from Knimble / Tee - Madewell / Belt - Thrifted / Boots - Sam Edelman (old) / Hat - Urban Outfitters (old) /Jacket - Thrifted / Jewelry - Thrifted
I found the look on the top left and was feeling so inspired from it, I just had to do my own take. Adding the boots to these silky pants makes for a more casual, comfortable outfit. I'm loving it and that ain't no joke!
Happy April Fools!

Drink Beer and Make Stuff
Coat - Zara / Tee - Speakeasy's Indie Mart / Leather Skirt - Thrifted / Scarf- Madewell (old) / Loeffler Randall - you can find them here
Sometimes when you have two things you love, it just makes sense to bring them together. In this case, it's my "drink beer and make stuff" tee and and my vintage high-waisted leather skirt. Turns out, they were meant to be! I love the edgy-class this outfit gives off, with the tee adding a playful, casual touch.
