As much as I love to dress up and change it up, lately every weekend consists of the same look. All I want to do is hang out at the farm with my hubby and pretend to do work wearing this outfit. Now it's Monday and I'm kinda bummed. It will be Saturday soon enough overalls, soon enough.

Fall Obsession // Buffalo Check

Every new season, I usually get pumped about one new thing that I am going to make into my "statement." Last year at this time it was black leather and a wine lip. This Fall season, it's all about the buffalo check. I'm seeing it every where in every way and I want it all. Just hoping that I can fit into that Crew Cuts capelet. Cross your fingers.

Fall Hike

This weekend my hubby and I took our lab Charlie for a leisurely hike and decided to stop for an impromptu photo shoot. Nothing more comfy for a Fall walk than a fur vest and your husband's wool sweater. Loving this weather!

NYFW Faves // Lyn Devon

Next stand out collection for me: Lyn Devon. This is actually the first time I've heard of this brand, but I feel an instant connection. I think it might be love. I discovered their SS14 line via one of my favorite bloggers...Miss Moss. The structured crop tops and the flowy pleated skirts create the drama that is definitely repost-worthy.

NYFW Faves // Alice + Olivia

NYFW is in full-force and I am PUMPED. For the rest of this week I am going to share my ultimate SS14 collection faves. First up, Alice + Olivia. I am in love with the dark romance of the black / white / red popped with the mint and acid yellow. Unexpected color combos done so, so right. 

Oh, and cropped tops with full length skirts? Yes, please.

Hello Again...It's Been a While

I'm baaa-ack! As you may have noticed, I have taken a little hiatus. Along with being insanely busy, I wanted to spend some time to really think about what I wanted to post and how I wanted to present myself to the blogosphere. As far as content; I decided to not change much, be more thoughtful and personal in what I share, and really embrace the reason for why I started this blog in the first place - my love for both city life and country livin.

I realize since I live in the country now and there are so many new experiences from that to share (we got goats...see above), but I don't want to leave out my city side and will definitely be sharing more about that.  

I'm glad to be back posting, but am still working on re-vamping the blog and finding a look that fits me and my big blogging plans. Stay tuned, because once I figure out my design and trudge my way though some lovely html code, it will be amazing!

So, to recap: more thought, more city, more me. Planning parties, picking outfits, meeting people (discovered a local artist who makes the abalone plant hangers above), constantly thrifting, spending time with family, and of course, still taking time to smell the flowers. 

Summer in the 60's

It's no secret that I love vintage fashion. This post is an ode to one of my fave decades and fave people.  My friend Courtney wore an amazing pink vintage shift dress for her bridal shower this weekend that she got while thrifting here with me! To carry on with the 60's vibe, she sent me buzzfeed's photos of a 60's summer in NYC. I fell in mad love and had to create a post around them. Enjoy!

My Overalls

Working with a film camera has definitely taught me patience and appreciation. You never know what you're going to get and you have to wait until you fill the whole roll! In my busy schedule with few chances to have a little photo sesh with the hubby, I have yet to fill my most recent one. Somewhere in there, waiting to be exposed, are some shots of me in my River Island denim bibs.

My patience ran out. I decided to post these digital diddies. I'm in love with these overalls and I just needed to show it. I figure, hey, if the other ones turn out, I can post them later as a little refresher. You won't mind, right?

STYLED! // Theresa Part Deux

Recognize this foxy lady? Yep, it's my dear sister, Theresa's, second round of STYLED!. This time she dons her adorable pair of printed floral pants. Doesn't their pop of red compliment her fiery highlights? I decided the look should be crisp and clean, but still cool. Enter..the sleeveless blouse and black and metallic bead necklace. Add a pair of cut-out leather wedges and she's set!
